Preschool at SODC

Studio One Dance Center has one of the best kept secrets in the North Fort Worth/Keller area…it’s very own fine arts preschool program! Little One’s Fine Arts Christian Preschool was founded in 2018 and continues to grow every year because of the quality of program and teachers we have. What truly sets us apart from other programs is our engaging blend of hands-on academic and movement curriculum and our ability to provide a place where each child is seen as a unique child of God.

Studies show that children need activity to activate the brain and we do just that to start our day! Tuesdays the children will attend dance classes consisting of both Tap and Ballet. Thursday calls for tumbling and movement class and includes obstacle courses, stretching exercises, and free movement time to allow kiddos to discover just what their bodies can do! We have our very own on-staff curriculum developer for our dance programs. She is not only an experienced dancer but holds a degree in education. We use the Acrobatic Arts curriculum for our Tumbling program to ensure proper and safe introductions and progressions while developing our acro skills.

The academic portion of our program is just as noteworthy! Our Preschool director develops and creates units of study with the whole-child learning approach that captivates our student’s minds and encourages an active part in their learning experience. Our activities foster hands-on learning, group discussion and sharing time, and a mix of small and large group instruction. The class is taken through shapes and colors, letter and letter-sound instruction, number recognition, and a host of other language arts and mathematical concepts along with weekly theme units.

Our students learn through a combination of songs, crafts, seatwork, and games.

Another important proponent of our program is our promise of weekly bible stories and devotionals. We want each child to know the story of Jesus in an age-appropriate and relatable way. It is a priority that each child knows that they are a gift from the Lord and feel loved and accepted for who they are.

We believe that movement is one of the most important building blocks in child development and learning. We pride ourselves at Little One’s Preschool on providing children the opportunity to learn, grow and fellowship through music, dance, and art in a safe and loving environment.
