Can I register my student for classes online?
We now have the capability for you to register for classes online. This is a courtesy and convenience service we are providing for registration only. You can also register in person during office hours.
Can I pay online with a debit or credit card?
You will be able to choose your classes online. The office will call to confirm your class(es) choice and you may pay by phone with the office with a debit or credit card for your first transaction only. All monthly tuition going forward is set up through an EFT/ACH debit directly from your checking account. We will need your checking account information by your child’s first day of class to get that set up for future tuition payments. You may also pay a semester in full or year in full by cash or check only. Please speak with an office personnel on the specifics.
Can I pay for the year or semester in full online?
If paying for the year or semester in full, you will need to come to the office to complete that portion of your registration by cash or check only. No debit or credit cards are accepted for semester or year in full.
I just registered my student online. Has my credit card been charged?
Your registration will be pending until you receive confirmation from the office that your registration is complete and the classes you have chosen are appropriate and available. At this time we will give you the total amount that will be charged to your card and you agree to that amount. Your card account will not be charged until that time.
Do you offer free trial classes?
We do not offer trial classes. It becomes disruptive to the classes and makes it difficult for the trial student to participate in previously taught choreography. However, we do offer Bring a Friend to Dance Week twice a year where you can come to class as a friend of someone you know at our studio.
How do I know if my child is ready for a certain age level?
Our studio follows a dance curriculum that is created by Beverly Spell, a renown dance instructor, and her daughter, a psychologist. It targets specific age abilities developmentally, physically and mentally. Also, the age level of some of our classes overlap. For example, if your child is 7 years old and has never had experience dancing, you might register him or her for a 5-8yr class instead of a 7yrs & Up class.
When is the cut off date for registration?
We register students through February 1st. This is the time that recital choreography starts being taught in the classroom. It also the date that we can guarantee your child receives a costume in time for recital. From November 1st - December 31st, we continue registering however, your dancer would not start until after the Christmas break.
Does my child have to do the recital?
Yes, students are required to participate in the Spring Recital. This creates unity among the students in the classroom, exemplifies positive aspects of working as a team, and gives the students a reward and purpose for all of their work in class.
