Location: Northwood Church 1870 Rufe Snow Dr, Keller, TX 76248

Dates: Wednesday, May 8th - Saturday, May 11th

*please see your class(es) specific recital page under the “Recital Information By Class” tab for the day and time of your dancer’s recital(s)

ADDITIONAL RECITAL DETAILS:

-Please be on time dressed and ready. Please be sure your child has on their makeup and their hair is in a bun upon arrival (all bangs need to be pulled back into the bun so dancers match their class). We will not be able to hold the recital for any dancers running late.

-Please be sure your child does not have panties under their dance costume. Dance tights are underwear. Also be sure they do not have on earrings or any other jewelry, temporary tattoos/stamps and no nail polish.

-No food or drinks are allowed in the auditorium.

-Once you arrive at Northwood Church, please be sure your dancer has used the restroom, washed their hands and has their dance shoes on for their first dance. Also stop by our front lobby table and we will have your program ready for you to pick up for your dancer.

-We will have Act 1, Act 2, and Act 3 with a 10-minute intermission between Act 1 and 2 and Act 2 and 3 to dismiss dancers to parents from the stage, allow parents time to change their dancer for their next dance, and check-in dancers for the upcoming act. Our goal in having 2 intermissions is to limit up and down between dances as much as possible.

-If your dancer is in Act 1 (the first set of dances) they will check in with an SODC Staff Member at the front of the stage before the recital begins. If your dancer is in Act 2 (the second set of dances) you will check in your dancer with an SODC Staff Member at the front of the stage or at the dancer check-in table outside of the Girls Dressing Room (this table is different from the main lobby table and is located up the ramp on the north side of the auditorium) as soon as Act 1 ends and the first 10-minute intermission begins. If your dancer is in Act 3 (the third set of dances) you will check in your dancer with an SODC Staff Member at the front of the stage or at the dancer check-in table outside of the Girls Dressing Room as soon as Act 2 ends and the first 10-minute intermission begins.

-All dancers will be dismissed from the stage by class at the end of Act 1, Act 2, and Act 3. Please only send 1 parent or guardian to pickup your dancer. Do not send a family member as we need the parent our staff and dancers will easily recognize. Safety of our dancers is our first priority.

-Dads/Dancers in Daddy-Daughter will check in 2 numbers before the Daddy-Daughter dance at the dancer check-in table (this table is different from the main lobby table and is located up the ramp on the north side of the auditorium). We will call for you to come check in over the mic. Please exit from your seat and arrive backstage quickly so we can continue running the recital smoothly for the other dances. Daughters will be dismissed from the stage with their dad to go home first and then we will dismiss any other dancers who were in Act 3 who did not participate in Daddy-Daughter.

-All dancer’s moms will be responsible for changing their dancer’s costumes, please send only ONE female parent or guardian 18+ to assist their dancer in changing needs in the dressing room.

-Male dancers will change in the lobby restrooms.

-Dancer’s should have 1 parent present at all times at Northwood Church during the recital.

-For theatre etiquette it is expected that every dancer and family stay and watch the entire recital to support their peers and provide minimal disruptions to the recital.

-If you notice a exterior door to Northwood Church is locked, please do not prop it open or allow friends or family to enter by holding it open. We keep minimal doors open and unlocked to ensure the safety and well-being of our dancers, staff, families, and friends attending.
