Thursday, December 10th - Dress Rehearsal Cast A (All Dancers)
4:30PM - All ELITE Co. Dancers arrive at Northwood Church dressed and ready in hair/makeup/costume - INT/ADV/PREPRO Dressing room is the Green Room (same as in years past) and MINI-PETITE & JUNIOR dressing room is in the Girls Dressing Room behind the check in table, Boys Dressing Room is behind the main table in Northwood’s cry room, Adults in the show will need to use the restrooms in the main lobby

5:00PM - Arrive at Northwood Church dressed and ready in hair/makeup/costume - plan on staying and eating a quick dinner/snack in between shows. Please be mindful not to grab McDonalds, sodas, etc. for dinner in between shows. Save all the junk for after the show ;).

Nutcracker Pictures
Nutcracker Pictures for dancers in Lead Roles are mandatory for all lead characters to take. Pictures will be on Friday, November 13th following the Lead Roles Rehearsal from 7:00-9:00PM. All dancers will need to stay for the entire photo time and will need to pack a mess-free snack/dinner to eat on when they are not actively taking pics. All lead role dancers will need to choose 3 Nutcracker costumes to take photos in. The following characters costumes will have to be photographed, please make sure these are packed: Clara, Nutcracker, Sugar Plum Fairy, Rat King, Dew Drop, Snow Queen, Maids, & Fritz.
5:00-7:00PM - For Mini-Petite Mouse or Soldiers Junior/INT/Adv/PrePro who are not in lead roles Nutcracker Pictures will be offered (please signup on SignupGenius below) on Friday, November 13th from 5:00-7:00PM *pics are not mandatory for these students
7:00-9:00PM - Lead Role Pictures for JR/INT/Adv/PrePro Dancers who are in a lead role *must stay the entire time and pack 3 costumes to take pictures in.
***Nutcracker photos are only offered to students and not the adults participating in the show***

All dancers will need their hair in a ballet bun and performance makeup for dress rehearsal and the show! Reminder to add more bobbi pins than the bun tutorial video below ;)
Additional Information
All dancers will need a parent or responsible guardian present during the dress rehearsal and show.
Please see the itinerary above for dancer check-in/checkout information. Mini-Petite will sit with their family in the second act after they are finished performing if they are only in the Battle Scene, if they are in the Angel section they will be dismissed from stage at the end of the show. Junior 1 will sit with their family during the first act and will be checked into their dressing room at the beginning of intermission.
Please come dressed and ready in your first costume.
Please only send ONE parent/guardian to check-in/checkout your dancer.
Due to safety and security we will not allow guests to enter the dressing room area. Only ONE female parent will be permitted into the dressing area. No siblings or friends are allowed in the dressing room.
If you do have visitors coming to say hello to your dancer, even past SODC dancers, the appropriate place to meet is the Northwood lobby after the show.
Please make sure dancers do not eat while in costume.
All Elite Company families are required to have 1 parent in the volunteer spot for Nutcracker weekend - there is a separate email detailing these volunteer jobs as well as below on this info page.
Photography and Videotaping During the Performance
-Flash Photography during The Nutcracker is prohibited. Flash photography in a dark auditorium can be dangerous to the performers.
-Nutcracker Downloadable Video Links may be purchased through the SODC office for $35 per Link. Links will be emailed within 6-8 weeks of the completion of the show.

Tickets to SODC Present’s: The Nutcracker benefiting Taking Shape will go on sale on Monday, November 2nd! Please check your email with information on how to obtain your 2 complementary tickets if you have a dancer performing in the show. Dancers only need a ticket purchased if your family is sitting in the VIP Reserved Section (Mini-Petite/Junior 1 only)
Tickets are $15.00 + tax for General Admission & $20.00 + tax for VIP Reserved (only 100 seats available for VIP Reserved)
